Anti-Grazing Law: I’m not Anti-Fulani, Says Fayose

Anti-Grazing Law: I’m not Anti-Fulani, Says Fayose *Meets Miyetti Allah’s leaders Contrary to insinuations that he was out to make life difficult for the Fulani people living in Ekiti State, the state Governor,   Ayodele Fayose, has declared that the passage of the anti-grazing law should not be interpreted to mean   he is anti-Fulanis. To resolve the logjam created by the law, Fayose and leaders of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), the umbrella body of cattle rearers, today met in Ado-Ekiti to iron out grey areas in the enforcement of the anti-grazing Law in the state. The meeting, which took place at the Government House, had the state executives of MACBAN and representatives from across the local governments in attendance. The visibly elated Fayose said he was indeed happy   that the leaders of MACBAN decided to contact the state government instead of listening to rumours being peddled around by the opposition. ‎

Senate Rejects Buhari’s $30bn Loan Request The Upper Chamber of the National Assembly has rejected the plan by President Muhammadu Buhari for external borrowing of $30bn for the execution of projects from 2016 to 2018. The overwhelming vote by the lawmakers did not allow the borrowing plan to be debated at all. Recall that Buhari had last week written to the Senate, requesting for the approval to borrow about $30bn as 2016 – 2018 External Borrowing Rolling Plan.

An online news medium recently stirred controversy after publishing pictures of some exotic cars and wrist watches allegedly owned by 20-year-old son of the state governor. But Koguna said the pictures of the vehicles published online were snapped at his Kano home, saying he easily identified the cars as the number plates bore his ‘NK’ initials. “I was surprised to see my cars circulating online. I don’t even know who trespassed into my house to take the pictures. The number plates bear my ‘NK’ initials and the background is my house,” Koguna said. He explained that none of the cars were sold in Kano, noting that one of them was shipped back to Europe and
