Stop Reacting Like a Motor Park Tout, Fayose’s Aide Advises Lai Mohammed

Still on Fayose Defence of Democracy

Stop Reacting Like a Motor Park Tout, Fayose’s Aide Advises Lai Mohammed

Following “venomous” attack from the Minister of Information, Lai
Mohammed, where he described  Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, as lacking requisite academic qualifications to speak on sensitive national issues, the governor’s Special Assistant on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, has advised the federal government’s spokesman against reactinglike a motor park tout.”

Olayinka, who reacted to a statement by the minister that Fayose and others kicking against President Muhammadu Buhari’s TSA policy should return to elementary school,
said it was shameful that the minister ran away from the main issue
and chose to attack personalities.

He described Mohammed as unfit to speak for any decent
government, with the way he passed his comments about what the
governor said on Single Treasury Account (TSA) policy of the federal
government.

"Now that Mohammed has been elevated to the position of the
spokesperson of the Federal Government of Nigeria, he needs to be
purged of the APC basket mouth syndrome where he spoke like a
tout," he said,

The Fayose's spokesperson insisted that the federal government
must explain to Nigerians why and how it mortgaged their existence to
a single company that has made what no manufacturing companies with
thousands of employees can make in one month.

Olayinka said: "Ekiti State under Fayose is managing its finances perfectly without the TSA which is
obviously aimed at enriching a few individuals at the expense of
Nigerians."

He advised President Buhari to urgently debrief Mohammed so that
he would operate normally as a spokesperson of the government and not APC propagandist.

“At 63, Lai Mohammed should know that speaking for the
federal government is different from speaking for the APC,
which he did by always tying corn to his anus while dancing naked at
the market place.

“He should know that opposition is a major ingredient of democracy and
any democratic government devoid of opposition must be ready to
embrace anarchy.

"It is therefore the duty of Nigerians, especially the National
Assembly, to ask questions on the administration of the resources being
held in trust for them by those in power and it is the responsibility
of government at all levels to explain.

"When a man like Lai Mohammed, who is employed and paid with tax
payers’ money now chooses to insult Nigerians just because they ask
questions, sane minds should pity the president who employed such a
loquacious person to speak for his government.

"As for Fayose, he will continue to uphold the truth and
speak for the overall interest of Nigerians, not minding the offensive
odour emanating from the propaganda infected mouths of Mohammed
and his ilk," he stated.

Why Nigerians in UK Will Set High Commission on Fire if Buhari Fails to Close it Down in 72 Hours

Why Nigerians in UK Will Set  High Commission on Fire  if Buhari Fails to Close it Down in 72 Hours

Today, Nigerian born Britain-based human right activist, Professor Alexia Thomas, has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari to order a complete close down of the Nigerian High Commission in
United Kingdom or face the wrath of Nigerians living in the UK.

Thomas, a front line activist renowned for her relentless fight to stop arbitrary deportation of people from the Commonwealth countries, particularly Nigerians, is the Chairman of the Commonwealth Liberation Party (TCLP), a registered political party in UK and President of Independent Diplomat Commission (IDC).

She said if her advice is not heeded, there is a high possibility that the Nigerian House in the UK would be set on fire by Nigerians living there in protest against their sufferings, which she attributed to the complicity of Nigerian officials.

The activist, in an interview with journalists, fingered the high commission in issues relating to unchecked corruption, fraud, illegal arrest, criminal torture of Nigerians arrested and detained in various British Immigration Centres in the UK who are awaiting deportation.

She revealed that the Nigerian community in the UK is planning a show down with the intention to set ablaze the Nigerian House as a way to tell the world how officials of Nigerian high commission trade
every Nigerian deportee for the sum of £3,000 in the hands of UK
Border Agency.

She maintained that there is a conspiracy between British Immigration and UK Border Agency which led to her 'prison notes' for fighting for Nigerians' freedom.

"President Buhari should honour our 72-hour ultimatum and shut down Nigerian high commission, if not, no one should held responsible when Nigerian protesters and angry Nigerians set Nigerian House fire on. If
Buhari refuses to heed our advice, then don't blame us in any way.

"I ask them to resign (the high commission officials) from that job at the Nigerian high commission in the next 72 hours because Nigerian uprising will stand shortly. And if Nigerian uprising stands, the Nigerian House in UK will need to be closed down," she said.

According to her, while she has been working relentlessly to put a stop to the deportation of Nigerians and other citizens of the Commonwealth nations, officials of the Nigerian high commission in the UK are adding to the plights of Nigerians in the country.

"I received a phone call from some distressed Nigerians already detained by British Immigration that a Nigerian lady called Mrs. Ngere, a Deputy Immigration Officer at Nigerian high commission came into British Immigration Detention Centre, having gone around she told the Nigerians to return to Nigeria.

"Unfortunately, she issued Traveling Document (TC) to British immigration to deport Nigerians, even after they (the Nigerians) protested against it. We believe Ngere could not have come there so boldly without the support of her boss (Chief Immigration Officer).

"I believe Ngere and the Chief Immigration Officer are traitors to the Nigerian people. It is a huge shame that Ngere, for several years,
has been living on blood money by regularly collecting £3,000 per
deportees and issuing TC to UK Border Agency.

"Our investigation confirmed that the British Government are not aware of this scandal, as names of these detained Nigerians to be deported are written
on UK Border Agency document showing every deported Nigerians were handed the sum of 3,000 pounds each as this sum was always collected and seized by officials of Nigerian high commission while deported Nigerians are never allowed to remove their property nor given a dime," Thomas alleged.

She also sent words of warning to the Virgin Atlantic boss, Mr. Richard Branson, to avoid getting entangled in the impending diplomatic row.

According to her, "Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin
Atlantic should steer clear from getting involved in this diplomatic crisis
that is between Nigerians and Nigeria.

"We are warning him to ensure that
none of his flights or pilot is allowed to convey Nigerian deportees to
Nigeria on November 24, 2015. If his pilots violate this Commonwealth
treaty IBOM charter, he will be arrested, made to face prosecution and be jailed.

"We are fully ready to legally fight him from Nigerian courts to the World Court," she assured the people.

...Not afraid of jail, he replied

TODAY, in view of his constructive criticisms and direction offered to the President Muhammadu Buhari’s
administration, the Ekiti State House of Assembly has declared the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, the Nigeria’s opposition leader.

The assembly affirmed  took the decision because of the fact that the
governor had remained the only consistent opposition voice against
alleged dictatorial tendency of the Buhari-led government, criticising
the federal government to engender good governance for all Nigerians.

At a special sitting of the assembly yesterday, the assembly
unanimously conferred on the governor the country’s opposition leader based on his advocacy for the masses and contributions to national
issues.

The speaker of the assembly, Hon Kola Oluwawole; his Deputy, Segun
Adewumi; the House leader, Hon. Tunji Akinyele;  Hon Gboyega
Aribisogan, Hon Samuel Omotoso and Hon Titilayo Owolabi Akerele,
praised the governor for being “articulate, prudent with finances,
consistent  and dogged” since he assumed office.

Fayose who responded to the assembly’s position, said: “Everybody is
entitled to their opinion. I am not that kind of a man who can be
silenced by anybody. Whether they call me leader of opposition or not,
I will continue to speak as long as it is going to be in the interest
of the masses.”

Commenting further, the Speaker said: “Since Fayose assumed office,
when you take a critical look at his contributions to national issues, he has been honest, frank , courageous and show that he is an epitome of leadership. He
has also been prudent in the management of our resources.

“Fayose is an enigma, a good democrat who always speaks on burning
issues of national interest without fear of whose ox is
gored. He remains the lonely voice in the wilderness and he fits to be
called the leader of opposition in Nigeria and we so declared.”
Oluwawole stated.

The Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, and the chairman, Ekiti State
Traditional Council, Oba Samuel Oyebade, who also commended Fayose’s virtues, urged the assembly and other Ekiti citizens to continue to
give the governor support for in order to do more in the service to
humanity.

Ewi said: “I am happy about your submissions but it was made possible
because you all cooperate with the governor. When I play my role and
you play your role, Ekiti will be better and our governor will be
able to deliver.”

Fayose, who responded at his Afao Ekiti country home said: “All of us
cannot run away from harassment. I am an opposition figure and I want
to help the ruling party through criticisms, so that they won’t sleep
while in government.

“Why should I be afraid of jail? Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and
Nelson Mandela were jailed. Chief MKO Abiola was jailed. So, why
should I be afraid of President Buhari. He is not God. He is just going to be president for a period of time. Virtually all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) former
governors are being tried for corruption.

“But my speaking about what the All Progressives Congress (APC) government is doing does not mean
I am eyeing a bigger position, even Senate I am not ready to go there.
Great leaders don’t think about political placement, but about
how to strive to make their country a better place.

“I don’t have apology for my criticisms to anybody. This is the only
time I can help Nigeria by helping check oppression and dictatorship.
But a fact remains that whether the assembly calls me opposition leader
or not, I will ever remain myself.”
