Using Security Agents to Harass PDP Members, Buhari Cautioned

Democratic Party (PDP) Women Leader in Sokoto State, Hajiya Rabi Giyawa, today called
on President Muhammadu Buhari, to check the activities of the security
agencies that have be clamping down on the opposition, as she decried the rising
cost of goods and the depreciation of the nation's currency in the last two
months.
Speaking
with THISDAY in Sokoto, Giyawa expressed dismay at the undue harassment of PDP
members by security operatives across the country without recourse to due process
and appealed to Buhari to call them to order.
She
decried the way and manner the former National Security Adviser, Col.
Sambo Dasuki (rtd), was intimidated and hounded by officials of the Department
of State Security (DSS), saying such action would not augur well for the
democratic process in the country, as the party leader called for decorum.
