Senator representing Delta Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has ran to court to seek an order restraining the Police, the Director of State Security (DSS) and others from taking further actions against him.
The embattled senator filed a suit with the Director General of the State Security Service, IGP, the FCT Commissioner of Police and the Attorney General of the Federation as respondents in his ex parte.
THEWILL recalls that Omo-Agege was on Wednesday arrested briefly over his role in the seizure of the symbol of authority of the Parliament, the mace after he allegedly led hoodlums to set the floor of the Senate and Nigeria into frenzy.
However, the embattled senator has filed multiple suits against the SSS, Nigerian Police and the Attorney General calling for restrictions from further arresting, detaining or putting him up for investigation by any of the agencies or any other law enforcement agency.
