The National Coordinator of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Benue State chapter, Alhaji Garus Gololo, has called on the Senate President Bukola.Saraki to resign as Senate President.

Gololo made the call while speaking with journalists on Wednesday in Makurdi.

However, the national body has denied that Gololo represent the group, saying it is his personal opinion.

He noted that Saraki has created numerous problems for the current administration of President Muhammad Buhari that had  affected  the economic and social growth of the nation.
"It is on this note that we are saying that Saraki ought not to be in office again as Senate President, adding that Saraki has failed to coordinate and organize the national Assembly to offer quality legislations that Nigerians need.

"Nigerians are in dire need of people that would lead every arm of governments with decency, understanding and positive mind  and change the fortune of our nation to better.

" Miyetti Allah is looking for leader that would preside over the affairs of the Senate with ultimate respect for the executive and the judiciary, not some one like senator Saraki that would always schemed to outdo the Presidency.

"We are now tired of Saraki style of leadership at the National Assembly, therefore, we are now warning him to honourably resign his position as president of the Senate or we will be compel to forcefully remove him," Gololo fumed.
Speaking about the comment by Governor Ortom, accusing former Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav  of being an agent of Miyetti Allah, the coordinator disclosed that Tsav is not a member of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association nor  a Fulani man by tribe and cannot be an agent to Miyetti Allah.

He urged governor Ortom to face his problem with EFCC  and leave Miyetti Allah alone.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued on Wednesday by the National Secretary, MACBAN, Baba Uthman Ngelzarma, the group debunked Gololo’s call, saying it has to many problems already to be inviting another.

According to the statement, “The attention of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has been drawn to an interview granted by one Garus Gololo in Makurdi to Punch Newspaper titled: 'Resign or we will force you out'. Miyetti Allah to Saraki.

“This statement is unfortunate. I will categorically state that Garos Gololo spoke in his personal capacity and has no mandate to speak on behalf of the association. Miyetti Allah is a non-partisan association with no interest in the political terrain and we couldn't meddle into the affairs of political actors thereby compounding our already obvious challenges.

“I therefore urge all and sundry to disregard this statement. This statement is not from MACBAN and should be disregarded in its entirety. We take exception on this statement and Garos Gololo is entirely his own and will be sanctioned accordingly. We cannot afford to add up to the many challenges we are confronted with. I'm therefore appealing to the general public to disregard this statement as it is coming from someone who doesn't have the mandate of the association to speak on its behalf. Thank You and God bless you all.”
