 Why Nigerians in UK Will Set  High Commission on Fire  if Buhari Fails to Close it Down in 72 Hours 


Today, Nigerian born Britain-based human right activist, Professor Alexia Thomas, has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari to order a complete close down of the Nigerian High Commission in
United Kingdom or face the wrath of Nigerians living in the UK.

Thomas, a front line activist renowned for her relentless fight to stop arbitrary deportation of people from the Commonwealth countries, particularly Nigerians, is the ‎Chairman of the Commonwealth Liberation Party (TCLP), a registered political party in UK and President of Independent Diplomat Commission (IDC). 

She said if her advice is not heeded, there is a high possibility that the Nigerian House in the UK would be set on fire by Nigerians living there in protest against their sufferings, which she attributed to the complicity of Nigerian officials.

The activist, in an interview with journalists, fingered the high commission in issues relating to unchecked corruption, fraud, illegal arrest, criminal torture of Nigerians arrested and detained in various British Immigration Centres in the UK who are awaiting deportation. 

She revealed that the Nigerian community in the UK is planning a show down with the intention to set ablaze the Nigerian House as a way to tell the world how officials of Nigerian high commission trade
every Nigerian deportee for the sum of £3,000 in the hands of UK
Border Agency. 

She maintained that there is a conspiracy between British Immigration and UK Border Agency which led to her 'prison notes' for fighting for Nigerians' freedom.

‎"President Buhari should honour our 72-hour ultimatum and shut down Nigerian high commission, if not, no one should held responsible when Nigerian protesters and angry Nigerians set Nigerian House fire on. If
Buhari refuses to heed our advice, then don't blame us in any way.

"I ask them to resign (the high commission officials) from that job at the Nigerian high commission in the next 72 hours because Nigerian uprising will stand shortly. And if Nigerian uprising stands, the Nigerian House in UK will need to be closed down," she said.

According to her, while she has been working relentlessly to put a stop to the deportation of Nigerians and other citizens of the Commonwealth nations, officials of the Nigerian high commission ‎in the UK are adding to the plights of Nigerians in the country.

"I received a phone call from some distressed Nigerians already detained by British Immigration that a Nigerian lady called Mrs. Ngere, a Deputy Immigration Officer at Nigerian high commission came into British Immigration Detention Centre, having gone around she told the Nigerians to return to Nigeria.

"Unfortunately, she issued Traveling Document (TC) to British immigration to deport Nigerians, even after they (the Nigerians) protested against it. We believe Ngere could not have come there so boldly without the support of her boss (Chief Immigration Officer). 

"I believe Ngere and the Chief Immigration Officer are traitors to the Nigerian people. It is a huge shame that Ngere, for several years,
has been living on blood money by regularly collecting £3,000 per
deportees and issuing TC to UK Border Agency. 

"Our investigation confirmed that the British Government are not aware of this scandal, as names of these detained Nigerians to be deported are written
on UK Border Agency document showing every deported Nigerians were handed the sum of 3,000 pounds each as this sum was always collected and seized by officials of Nigerian high commission while deported Nigerians are never allowed to remove their property nor given a dime," Thomas alleged.

She also sent words of warning to the Virgin‎ Atlantic‎ boss, Mr. Richard Branson, to avoid getting entangled in the impending diplomatic row.

According to her, "Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin
Atlantic should steer clear from getting involved in this diplomatic crisis
that is between Nigerians and Nigeria. 

"We are warning him to ensure that
none of his flights or pilot is allowed to convey Nigerian deportees to
Nigeria on November 24, 2015. If his pilots violate this Commonwealth
treaty IBOM charter, he will be arrested, made to face prosecution and be jailed. 



"We are fully ready to legally fight him from Nigerian courts to the World Court," she assured the people.

Drug Insecurity: House Urges FG to Fund Indigenous Drug Research

The House of Representatives on Tuesday urged the federal government to invest more in the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development in order to encourage local and indigenous research. Court Stops National Assembly From Taking Over Bauchi Assembly

As the National Assembly received a report from the committee it sent to Bauchi State to probe the leadership crisis rocking the state assembly since its inauguration last month, the state high court on Monday issued an order of interim injunction ordering that the present Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Abubakar Suleiman and Danlami Kawule respectively,   should continue leading the assembly pending the determination of the suit before it.
