Three Officers Killed in Bayelsa Police Station by Suspected Gunmen

At least three policemen have been killed in a gun attack by suspected gunmen at Kolo police station in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Nigeria.

The sad incident came one week after four soldiers were killed in an ambush at Letugbene, a community in Southern Ijaw council area of the state.

Spokesman of state police command, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the attack and said the command lost three policemen to the attack.

However, he could not disclose the identity of the attackers saying investigation was still going on.

He however promised that the perpetrators of the attack would be punished.
