According to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni,  the two were rescued after a duel with the armed herdsmen.

The state Police command had earlier issued a statement on the missing personnel.

According to the statement,  suspected Fulani herdsmen  ambushed mobile police patrol team leading to missing of four Mopol.

The command spokesman, ASP Moses Yamu, said  the incident occurred in the troubled Logo Local Government Area of the state last night.

He said the Police Mobile Force Team conducted a robust patrol of Ayilamo in Logo LGA.
"However, on their way back to their camps , they came under attack of a fully armed group of suspected herdsmen," saying that in  the ensuing gun battle one of the police patrol caught fire.

Yamu said that the casualty on the side of the herdsmen were still being ascertained.

Meanwhile, local sources have said three policemen were killed and several other people have lost their lives.

The source said the  militia headsmen  came in three different groups ambushed the Security operatives in order to capture them but were however not lucky this time as the trained Mobile personnel professionally took cover and defended themselves.

Irked by their inability to achieve this criminal mission, the militia herdsmen resorted to property destruction and killing of some residents including policemen.

This is coming on the heels of last Thursday's attack on Anyiin community where two people were killed with many sustaining various degrees of gun shot injuries.
