It has been gathered that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force drawn from its Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) are currently moving Senator Dino Melaye to Lokoja.
It could be recalled that Melaye, representing Kogi West at the Senate was first arrested last Monday at the Nnamdi Azikwe International airport, Abuja, on his way to Morocco by Immigration officials.
He was later released but police men reportedly kept watch at his Abuja residence.
The drama continued on Tuesday as the Senator, who had been declared wanted, eventually gave himself up to the Police.
Melaye was then taken into SARS detention facility, located opposite the old Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN junction along the Area 1 expressway, Abuja, and was later moved out around 12 noon today in police vehicle heavily manned by SARS operatives.
He is also expected to be paraded later this evening with the criminals who implicated him in the crime that necessitated his arrest.
The parade is to be conducted by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Aremu Adediran, a Superintendent of Police (SP) on behalf of his immediate boss, Jimoh Moshood, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, who is currently in China on a course.
It has been reported that Dino has been hospitalised after jumping off the vehicle of SARS operatives.
