CRK/IRK Imbroglio: Pastor Judith Lauds CAN, Urges Christians to Speak with One Voice

 Sunday Okobi

Following House of Representatives successful vote recently that Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) be taught separately, a renowned female cleric, founder of Glorious Living Singles and Married Ministry, Pastor Judith Daniel Imagoro, has hailed Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Nigerian Christians in general, saying the victory in having CRK as independent subject would not have been possible if Christians were silent.

According to Daniel-Imagoro at the recently held Dynamic Life conference at Gombi in Adamawa State, where she called on Christians to speak with one voice, “I normally don't comment on political matters, because I am busy with my Father (God’s) business, but defending God’s business is equal to doing the business.
“Christians at this point in our nation need to be constructive and stand for what is right without allowing anybody to impose anything on anyone. If God, our Creator, could leave us with the power of choice, no government, government agents or group of people should force a whole nation to accept what is not right, which is what the present government want to do.”

She said following all the policies the present government had tried to implement since inception, “we (Christians) should speak with one voice because we are one body in Christ. We should do not try to be diplomatic with our faith.
“For the government to have left all the educational needs of Nigerians, and try to subsume CRK in civil education (National Value and Religion), it clear the government of the day is up to something. Their aim is to subtly deprive Nigerian students among others of the knowledge of God.
The cleric noted that there are some government secondary schools in the country were students still seat on class rooms floor to write examinations, “there are so many schools without useable toilets. A lot of schools have no qualified teachers, and for the government to have left all the important educational matters to attend to, but to try and do something that is not worth the time and energy, that should tell you what their motives are.”

Daniel-Imagoro who thanked Christian leaders for standing firm, said: “We as Christains should not silent important national issues because more of these moves are coming, and if we keep silent over things and let them have their way, time will come when they will tell you to reduce the number of churches, and later, you will not be allowed to worship God freely..
“We do not need to fight this battle with Guns and cutlasses, God did not carry anything to create the world, that you can see today, all He used was His words, Adam did not work with his physical hands, all he used was his voice and the Bible says ‘What so ever Adam called it, that was the name till now’.”

The General Overseer of Glorious Living Singles and Married Ministry, added: “Lend your voice brethren, refuse to be deceived by any explanation or motive. Say no with your united voice, and Heaven will nullify their plans, earth will reject it. God bless all Christians in Nigeria.
