Okowa's CPS, Aniagwu Makes New Commissioner-nominees’ List Gov names new agencies board members

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Charles Aniagwu, is in the final list of 10 new nominees to be confirmed as commissioners and members of the State Executive Council (EXCO) sent by the governor to the state House of Assembly.

Speaker of the assembly, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, acknowledged and read at plenary yesterday the names of the nominees as state commissioners.

The Speaker also read out names of commissioners-nominee and board members of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC); Board of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, as well as the Delta State Capital Development Agency and the Local Government Service Commission.

Names of nominees for confirmation by the legislature as state commissioners and members of the state EXCO include Aniagwu Charles, Matthew Tsekiri, Emman Amgbaduba, Ifeanyi Michael Egwunyenga, Ovie Oghoore and Dr Mondi Ononye (the immediate past health commissioner).

Others are Mrs. Gbubemi Ikoko, Christian Onogba, Omamofe Joseph Pirah and
Chief Henry Sakpra.

For a new board of DESOPADEC, the list included Hon Michael Diden as Chairman, and Hon Bashorun Askia as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.

Others are Shedrack Agediga (Executive Director), Hon John Nani (Executive Director), Leonard Anoka (Executive Director) and Daniel Itsekirimi Mayuku (Executive Director).

The nominees as members of the board of DESOPADEC included Paul Bebenimibo, who is nephew to the leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, Chief Government Ekpemupolo (a.k.a. Tompolo); Grifton Omastsuli, Dr. Paul Oweh and Chief Kent Okiemute.

Others membership candidates of the DESOPADEC board are Mr. Joyce Overah, Mr. Anslem Nwokenye, Mr. Ikechukwukwu Akozor, Chief Vincent Oyibode and Dr. Ossai Ochonogor Samuel.

For the governing Board of Warri/Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, Dr. Joseph Utumara is the Chairman-designate while former SSG, Ovuozorie Macaulay, is the Director-General.

Members of the maiden board are Dr. Sunny Ezonfade, Mrs. Amaka Egboro and Prince Kelly Otuedon.

Delta State Capital Development Agency will, on confirmation by the lawmakers, have Senator Ighoyota Amori as Chairman and Mrs. Joan Mrakpor as Director-General, while Ogbueshi Adizue Eluaka, Hon Blessing Adidi and
Dr. Isaac Wilkie as members.

The board of the Local Government Service Commission has Hon Joseph Otirhue as Chairman and the members including Chukwuka John Greatman, Hon Rev Katherine Ikoko and Mrs. Rose Asore.
