Despite Defeating Argentina, Nigeria Drops Nine Places In FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped nine places in the latest football ranking by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

This was in spite of the sterling performance in the World Cup qualifiers and its convincing defeat of Argentina, one of the world’s finest teams.

According to the latest ranking released by FIFA, on Thursday, Nigeria is ranked at 50th position in the world and 8th in Africa.

Prior this, Nigeria occupied the 41st position in the world.
