Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, 94, in Akure, Ondo State, over the death of his daughter, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, who was killed on Friday by unknown gunmen suspected herdsmen.
Osinbajo said the President Buhari-led federal government would explore all options, including deploying soldiers on the highways, towards addressing the growing cases of security challenges in Nigeria.
According to the VP, “As you know, I am here to commiserate with the families of Olakunri and Pa Reuben Fasoranti. This is a massive tragedy, as you can imagine.
“We have seen it replicated here and there, which is kidnapping death and killings.”
