Buhari Redeploys Eight Perm Secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally redeployed eight of the nine
permanent secretaries appointed in December last year.

The top civil servants, who were promoted as Level 17 Directors last
year, were confirmed yesterday and were among the 12 permanent
secretaries, assigned new portfolios.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Director Communications, Office of
Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, said
yesterday that a circular conveying the redeployment was signed by the
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) Mrs. Winifred Ekanem
Oyo-Ita.

The circular stated that the handing and taking-over processes should
be completed on or before February 27, 2019, with the exception of the
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget  and National Planning, whose
take over will be on March 29, 2019.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries and their new portfolios are
Dr Bukar Wadinga, Common Services Offices, OHCSF; Dr Kyari Dikwa,
Special Duties Office; Dr Magdalene Ajayi Olor, Service Policies &
Strategies Office, OHCSF; Mr. Umakhihe Ernest Afolabi, Budget and
National Planning; Mr. Mbaeri Maurice Nnamdi, Police Service
Commission and Mr. Babatunde Lawal, Cabinet Affairs Office, OSGF.
The rest are, Festus Yusuf Narai Daudu, Special Duties Office (OSGF)
and Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, Federal Civil Service Commission. However
Dr Musa Moriki, who was among those assigned in December was not
designated.
The other permanent secretaries affected in the exercise include, Mrs
Abimbola Odusote, redeployed from Ministry of Labour and Employment to
Environment, Mr. Istifanus Musa Mik Fuktur, Police Service Commission
to Communication; Mr. William Nwankwo Alo, Special Duties Office
(OSGF) to Labour and Employment and Labour and Employment to Water
Resources.
