Cultism: Police Arrest 10 Students of Federal Polytechnic Bida at Initiation Ground

The police in Niger State on Tuesday stated that they had arrested 10 students of the Federal Polytechnic Bida for alleged cultism.

The suspects were nabbed when they were initiating 15 new members into the Neo-Black Axe Movement of Africa.

The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammad Abubakar, who disclosed this to journalists in Minna on Tuesday, said the suspects were arrested in  a forest around  Gudu Gbagba village mMountain in Lavun Local Government Area of the state

Muhammad said the arrest was through the combined efforts of the police and the institutions security team.

During the operation one Axe,  charm, 10 cell phones, two necklaces, two key holders, one identity card, two phone chargers, six keys, two jeans trousers, one spectacle, three t-shirts, seven ATM cards, one flasher, three wrist watches, two voters cards and three rings suspected to be charm were recovered from the suspects.

Abubakar named the suspects as Alicho Ogbonna Jimmy, Ibrahim Hameed Adeshina,  Charles Chika Odili,  Ogbenna Festus, Dare Olaye, Chukwu Emeka, Musa Ismail Abah, Joshua Nathan, Sege Adejo, and Abel David.

The police spokesman said the suspects have been helping police operatives in their investigations, saying they would be charged to court soon.
