Three Govs, Dangote, Others to Discuss Healthcare in US

Committed to the improvement of healthcare delivery system  in Bauchi State, the state Governor, Bala A. Mohammed, with other governors from Borno, Lagos  and Gombe States and  the President of the Dangote  Foundation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will depart Nigeria today to Seattle, United States, for a round table discussion on intervention in healthcare delivery for their respective states with Bill and Melinda Foundation as well as Dangote Foundation.


The provision of an effective health care service delivery is one of the important basic social services required by the administration of Mohammed to ensure meaningful and even development in the state. Consequently, therefore, the 2019 end of the year discussion in US is aimed at strengthening the Bauchi State primary health care delivery.

 


Similarly, as part of his administration strategy in building synergy and partnership, the governor said the state considers leadership, dependable management of resources and good governance as formula for achieving success.


This was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the state Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, which was made available to journalists on Monday in Bauchi.



The state government under the leadership of Mohammed has already paid the sum of N200 million counter fund out of the N339 million budgeted for the 2019 State Basket Fund contribution for Primary Health Care State Immunisation Policy. This is in addition to the payment of N100 million Counter Fund for the Basic Health Care Provision Fund.

 

According to the statement, officials on the delegation include Hon. Inusa Ahmed Warji , a member of the Bauchi State House of  Assembly, and the Executive  Chairman of the state Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA), Dr. Rulwanu Mohammed.
