Star Lager Salutes Manchester City for Carabao Cup Feat

Nigerian premium beer brand, Star Lager, has congratulated the English champions, Manchester City, for retaining the Carabao Cup (League Cup) after a 2-1 win against Aston Villa last Sunday at the Wembley Stadium in London. Star Lager is the official beer of Manchester City.

Goals from Sergio Aguero and Rodri, before Mbwana Samatta replied, saw Manchester City beat their opponent at the iconic stadium, and ensured that the Citizen won the League Cup for the fourth time in five years, but more importantly, a record of third time in a row.

Speaking on behalf of the brand, Onyebuchi Nwangwu, noted that the club domestic success is unrivaled going by their achievements in the recent seasons.

According to her, "That is awesome as no other club in the history of domestic trophies has achieved a dominance of titles in a row.

“Aside the unprecedented three League Cups, Manchester City has won two Premier Leagues, FA Cup and two Community Shields, while the female team also proved their prowess in winning the FA cup in their last outing thus confirming the synergy between Star Lager and the shinning era of this great club.”

The partnership between Star Lager and Manchester City since 2016 as afforded football fans and loyal consumers of the brand to enjoy some of the matches of the club in the ongoing season at various locations across the country till the end of 2019/20 football season.

The latest was the thrill Star Lager gave to its loyal fans at Aso Rock Hotel in Ikotun Egbe in Lagos when Manchester City piped home side, Leicester City, by lone goal.

It was an evening of football mixed with music and other entertainment as hundreds of fans watched from multiple screens, while quality gift items were given out to deserved winners of raffle draw and dancing competition.
