Fahrenheit Loft Hotel Opens for Business in Lagos

The Fahrenheit Loft Hotel yesterday officially opened in Lagos, a few weeks after throwing its doors open to guests.
The boutique hotel located off Ligali Ayorinde in highbrow Victoria Island, follows closely on the success of its predecessor, the Maison Fahrenheit also in Victoria Island. The Maison Fahrenheit has drawn widespread acclaim since opening less than a year ago.

The 27-room Loft is targeted at the business traveller who desires a serene and tasteful environment in the heart of V.I. while also being able to cater to business due to the Loft’s accessibility to leading indigenous and international organisations on the island.

Saturday’s grand reception was a cocktail party that had in attendance the cream of Lagos society, especially those drawn to the unique décor and arty style of the hotel which is greatly influenced by the personal taste of the Fahrenheit Group’s founder, Anselm Tabansi, who is well-known for his hugely successful furniture construction and interior decoration company, Svengali Designs.

Speaking on the Loft, Tabansi said: “We’ve found out that by the power of our design, we’ve been able to conquer the boutique segment as far as hospitality is concerned. It has really resonated with people so we’re going to keep pushing it.

“The idea of a boutique hotel is the experience you get from the design concept where different rooms have different concepts and different looks, so it’s a new experience every time you come here to stay.

He added that: “The Loft is cosy; you can see the way I fused the restaurant and the lounge within a particular space. The idea is to come here and play, eat and live within one environment. This place will appeal more to the business segment because it is calm and the rooms are very spacious.”
