Arewa Youths Withdraw Quit Notice To Igbos

In order to douse political tensions in Nigeria created by the Kaduna Declaration which asked lgbo people in the Northern Nigeria to leave the region before October 1, 2017, by the Arewa Youths, the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has rescinded the quit notice
This was the high point of a World Press Conference held in Abuja and addressed by more than a dozen of Northern Youth Groups including the Arewa Youths Council (AYC) that issued qiut notice to the lgbos in the Northern Nigeria.
The conference was attended by the Governor of Borno state and Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, ex- Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Kabiru Gaya, ex-Minister, Alhaji Sani Daura and Alhaji Shetima Yerima of Arewa Youths Council.
Among others who were present were Nollywood star Kenneth Okonkwo aka Andy, and Eze Ndigbo in Kano State who led the Christian prayers before the occasion started.
Meanwhile, CNG anchored it grievances  on Kaduna Declaration on the insult by Nnamdi Kanu-led Independent People of Biafra (IPOB).
They also accused all the lgbos of not allowing other citizens of Nigeria to own properties in lgbo land and the lgbos being the Suppliers of Hard and Fake drugs across the Northern Nigeria.
CNG also accused the Easterners of gross crimes against the Northern Nigeria Economically and Socially hence the Kaduna Declaration.
They said that inspite of their grievances they held meetings with their Northern elders and Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Consequent upon the meetings, they said today, Thursday 24, 2017, they announced the suspension of the Kaduna Declaration and rescind the lgbo Quit Notice.
They called for the Referendum for lgbos under the United Nations which the Nigerian Government subscribed to and to declare IPOB as Terrorist organization as well as close all drugs shops in the Northern Nigeria owned by the lgbos.
