Boko Haram Commander Arrested In Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has said it arrested a 42-year-old wanted Boko Boko Haram kingpin, Idris Ibrahim Babawo, who goes by the names “Idiko” and “Nagada”.

Army spokesman, Sani Usman, said in a statement that Babawo is believed to be on serial number 165 on the list of wanted Boko Haram terrorists.
He was handed over by the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Police to the 32 Brigade, 2 Division of the Nigerian Armylast Monday.
Part of the statement reads, “preliminary investigation shows that the terrorist kingpin hailed from Chinade village, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
“He escaped from the North East due to military onslaught on the terrorists with a view evade arrest and prosecution. But nemesis caught up with him.”
