The the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee on Thursday placed Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Ifeanyi Ubah, on suspension, and referred the Senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu, to its disciplinary committee over alleged anti-party activities.
While Kashamu was queried for his activities in the South-West, Ubah was questioned for allegedly disparaging national officers of the party and those that conducted the Anambra State governorship primary.
Though Kashamu replied the query and denied issues raised in it, Ubah was said to have ignored the party’s query over what they described as “disparaging and unfounded” allegations against some party members and elders.
Announcing Ubah’s suspension today, the party stated that he made several allegations against the party over which he was queried while expressing his dissatisfaction with the decisions of the PDP leadership on the report of the Anambra Governorship Appeal Panel which affirmed the election of Oseloka Obaze as the party’s governorship candidate.
The main opposition party, however, said the matter has been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for further action.
In the same vein, the PDP also queried Kashamu for his alleged involvement in some issues in the Ogun State chapter of the party.
The lawmaker’s matter has also been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee of the party for further action.
