The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has kept silent after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Kachikwu  arrived at the Aso Presidential Villa around 11:35a.m. for the meeting on Friday and left at about 12.50p.m.
When the minister was approached for comments by some State House correspondents, he simply replied “no comment,” as he walked out of the President’s office with the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
In a memo leaked three days earlier, he accused the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru of insubordination, and among other things awarding a $25bn contract without following due process.
