One Killed As EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu, Escapes Assassination Attempt

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, it was learnt, has escaped death by the whiskers as some gunmen reportedly stormed his house in Abuja last Tuesday Night.
When they didn’t find the EFCC boss in the house, the gunmen were said to have killed one of the police guards attached to the house and disappeared.
According to unconfirmed reports, the gunmen stormed Magu’s farmhouse in Karshi, in the Federal Capital Territory, at about 10pm and exchanged fire with the policemen on duty killing a police Sergeant.
Attempts to verify the story proved abortive as calls to Magu’s phone lines were unresponsive.
