When his case was adjourned, he was taken to the Kirikiri Minimum Prison in Lagos, pending his next court appearance before Magisterate O.I Raji.

Thus, when he was brought by the prison officials to Ogba Magisterate Court 20 to face trial for his charges, he jumped through the open window of the three-storey building.

It was gathered that upon jumping through the window, his body smashed
on the ground and he died on the spot before help could come.

The court prosecutor was said to have contacted the Isokoko Police Division about the death in their premises and they took the corpse away for investigation.

When contacted, the Lagos State Police Spokesman, SP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident, adding that the police are investigating the incident.

Oti also said the corpse of the suspect has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy before any talk of what happens to his body.
