Abducted Dapchi Yobe Schoolgirls Freed By Nigerian Military

Some female students abducted by Boko Haram from Government Girls Secondary School in Dapchi, Yobe state have been rescued by the military in a development that confirms speculations that the terrorists abducted some girls on Monday night when they raided the school and town in search of food.
National Daily, Trust quoting a security source, reports that the girls were rescued at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State.
The report said the military have taken the girls to Gaidam in Yobe state for medical check-up before proceeding to Damaturu, the state capital.
It could be recalled that the all female school had done a head count on Wednesday and discovered that at least 94 students were unaccounted for.
President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier directed the military to take over security at the school.
