The presidency yesterday said it is not true that it
has decided to call the bluff of members of the aggrieved New Peoples
Democratic Party (nPDP) bloc of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A top presidency source who spoke to journalists on telephone
regarding the issue said the peace talks with group will continue with a
renewed vigour to achieve an amicable resolution of the issues raised by the
nPDP.
"President Muhammadu Buhari did not call the bluff of
the Npdp, and is not contemplating doing so. Rather, he has asked the Vice
President Yemi Osinbajo to continue the negotiation with the group and to
forward any agreement and understanding reached for his final action," the
source said.
