 I will Expose Kwankwaso’s Shoddy Deals in Kano, Says Governor Ganduje

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, today threatened to expose alleged shoddy deals perpetrated by his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, while in office as the state governor.

Ganduje explained that “some works have been done shoddily in the state which I will soon expose for people to know the calibre of person my predecessor was.

“Kano people will always resist any attempt by anyone to short change them.  Yes we knew the genuine projects, including the shoddy ones, which I will not tolerate by exposing them for the people to judge your action.”
Speaking while inspecting Dakata-Bella road project in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state, Ganduje lamented that Kwankwaso was in Kano to campaigns for the position of President Muhammadu Buhari while such position is still occupied.
He said: “A lot of things have been happening now, including undermining our President Buhari with all sorts of acts. We will not tolerate it again in Kano.  We are tired of your atrocities.  I will soon expose him before the people of the state for them to know your kind of person.

“Some people are sycophants. They do not want Buhari to succeed. These people know themselves. When it gets to a stage, I will name them one after the other. I am not afraid of human beings.

 “We are solidly behind President Buhari and his programmes.  Kano people will not support anybody working against the president.”

Ganduje further warned that “it is unfortunate for the so-called politician who claimed to be a leader to hire hoodlums with dangerous weapons aimed at disrupting the peace of the state. Government and security agencies will not tolerate this attitude.”

Population of Doctors in Nigeria Hits 74,543

  The number of registered medical doctors in Nigeria has risen to 74,543. According to the federal government statistics, as at 2018, the stock of professionally regulated health workers in Nigeria health sector has also recorded a significant increase. The population equates to 36.3 percent of medical doctors per 100,000 population (doctor to population ratio of 1: 2753). Fifty-nine percent of the registered medical practitioners were in good standing with 35 percent being females. UBEC Board Chairman, Daughter Freed from Captivity

The Board Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Muhammed Mahmoud, and his daughter were on Tuesday released by their abductors. Mahmoud, his daughter and several other travellers were abducted last Monday on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway when suspected bandits open fire at them. The UBEC boss’ driver was said to have been killed during the incident. There has been no information about other commuters who were abducted by the bandits. Mahmood's freedom was confirmed in a telephone interview by Hussaini Danladi, a relation, who said they were freed from captivity at about noon yesterday. Danladi, however, did not say whether a ransom was paid before their release.
