Nigeria's Federal Executive Council Meeting Cancelled Again

The Nigeria's weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting scheduled to hold on Wednesday has been cancelled.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who made the announcement, said the meeting will not hold because the Eid-el-Kabir holiday deprived the ministers adequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting.

In a statement issued in Kano on Tuesday, the Minister said the two-day public holiday declared for the celebration left little or no time to prepare for the weekly meeting.

It would be recalled that the cabinet meeting was three weeks ago also cancelled when President Muhammadu Buhari came back from his medical vacation in London, United Kingdom, because rats took over his office, and needed to be cleared, according to the president's aide, Adesina.
