Nigerian Army Agrees To Withdraw Troops From Abia Tomorrow


Image result for Nigerian army authoritiesThe Nigerian Army on Thursday agreed to withdraw soldiers from Abia State, and would commence disembarking from both cities on  September 15.
The state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, who reached an agreement with the Army on the withdrawal, announced that the troops disembarkment during a press conference on Thursday.
The Nigerian Troops had been deployed in the state and other parts of the Southeast for a military exercise tagged: Operation Python Dance II. 
Image result for okezie ikpeazuThe soldiers have had confrontations with members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The withdrawal of soldiers was confirmed on Twitter by Ikpeazu’s Personal Assistant, Sam Hart, who also tweeted images from the press conference.
“Pess Conference by Gov Okezie Ikpeazu announcing agreement with the Army to withdraw troops from Umuahia and Aba from tomorrow 15/09/2017,” Hart posted.
