3 School Principals, Driver, Clerk Die in Auto Crash

Three school principals, their driver and a clerk have lost lives in an auto crash involving their vehicle and a truck. 

The incident occurred on Oyo-Ogbomoso expressway late on Wednesday night.
The sad event, according to sources within the accident spot, said seven
other people sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Police is yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report but the Deputy Route Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Sector Command, Mr Oluwaseun Onijala while confirming the accident said only three people died while 12 others sustained various degrees of injuries.

Onijala in a telephone conversation with reporters in Ibadan, noted that corpses of those who died in the accident have been deposited at Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
He added that the injured passengers are still receiving treatment in the hospital.

One of the victims, identified simply as Mr. Ogunremi, was until the road mishap, Principal of Caretaker Community High School in Ogbomoso. He was billed to retire from service next week Friday.

The injured victims, reports said are currently receiving treatment at BOWEN University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

The source said that the unidentified trailer driver was trying to avoid a pothole when his truck hit their car and four people died immediately while the Account Clerk simply identify as Mr Ajao later died in the hospital.
It was gathered that the accident occurred when the occupants of the car were returning from a workshop held at Olivet High School  in Oyo.
